Here's a cover illustration for Sepp Kremke's project MERC.
It's not 100% my genre, but it was GREAT FUN to do and I'm quite pleased with the result. As is Sepp, he assures me.

Got out the old watercolours for this after years of abstinence. Hmm. Something I should do more often, mayhaps?

Even if it's probably old hat to some of you and, worse, means providing free publicity for junk food giants, I would like to direct your attention to Simpsonizeme.com. Said website offers to change yourself into a Springfield resident by uploading a photo. Good fun on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
Here's our family:

The Simpsons Movie website offers a similar thing, but with less options for you character. Worth a look, but Simpsonize is definetely the better version.
Well, Slayer's new cover arrived from the US at veryveryvery last minute in Warner's German office, resulting in the dragon being disqualified from appearing in the ad and my fee being cancelled. Thanks to Katja, the freelancer who put the Beast in the ad in the first place, I can claim half of it anyway, for data handling and general to-ing and fro-ing. Oh well. We are sure Slayer and all their representatives, particularly their German PR-Department, will eternally fry in hell for shunning the Beast ;o)
Update: Here's the pic...

I quite like it, more topical, not as colourful. I think Mother Theresa drowning in blood is quite well done, talking from a completely abstract artistic point of view, of course. Interesting though that they call it Jihad, yet refrain from actually showing any islamic imagery. Well, who can blame them. Catholics are less dangerous at the moment.
Lacking the actual cover illustration for Heavy Metal outfit Slayer's latest effort, the German publishers searched the interweb for suitable visual material to spice up their ad, and came across this...

Yes, it's the Beast of the Apocalypse, lovingly drawn and photoshopped by yours truly. Mind you, this isn't Slayer's new album cover, just a one off advert for German Heavy Metal mag Metal Heart, so the fee was a trifle on the modest side. But, as we say in Germany, in times of need, the devil will feast on flies.

Some of you probably already have heard that Josef Rother and I are working on a new comic project for HEAVY METAL called ARGSTEIN. A German version will be published by Egmont Ehapa and we are talking to publishers in other countries as well. Also, we are working on argstein.com, but while that is still offline, I thought I'd let you have a look at the first adventure's German version's cover....
... so, here it is...
